Privacy Policy — Full Page Screenshot & Capture

Full Page Screenshot & Capture ("the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that takes screenshots of webpages and lets you annotate and export them. This policy explains what data the extension handles.

The short version

The extension collects no data. Everything happens on your device.

What the extension does with page content

When you start a capture, the extension reads the currently visible tab in order to produce your screenshot. Captured images are processed entirely within your browser (stitching, annotation, export) and are saved only where you choose to save them. No page content, screenshot, or any other data is ever transmitted to us or to any third party. The extension makes no network requests.

What is stored, and where

• Settings (export format, JPEG quality, filename pattern, capture delay, hide-elements blocklist) are stored using Chrome's extension storage. If you are signed into Chrome with sync enabled, Chrome may sync these settings across your own devices; this is handled by your browser, not by us.
• Per-site hide rules (the elements you chose to hide on a given website) are stored locally on your device only.
• Recent captures are held temporarily in your browser's local IndexedDB storage so the editor can open them, and old entries are automatically deleted.

You can clear all of this at any time from the extension's Options page or by removing the extension.

What we do NOT do

• No analytics, telemetry or tracking of any kind
• No accounts, sign-ins or identifiers
• No cookies
• No advertising
• No selling, sharing or transferring of any data — we never receive any data in the first place

Permissions

The extension requests the minimum Chrome permissions needed to work: activeTab and scripting (to capture and prepare the tab you're looking at, only when you invoke the extension), storage (your settings, kept on-device), and downloads (to save your exported files). It requests no host permissions and cannot read your browsing history, passwords, or other tabs.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Because the extension collects no data, we do not expect material changes.
